Electrical Engineer

SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineer is primarily responsible for the research, design, and development and testing of electrical systems and components for products by performing the following responsibilities. Reports directly to the Electrical Business Unit Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Perform engineering tasks that include applying basic engineering theories and principles
- Support all stages of development from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing
- Design electronic circuits including layout of PCB
- Conduct and support electrical & thermal simulation/validation of PCBAs
- Support design & technical reviews with customer (remote and/or on-site)
- Create and organize design documentation including DFMEA development, DVP, PCBA drawings, BOM creation and management, rapid quote BOM generation
- Collaborate with other engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams within our organization and at our joint venture partners
- Engage in continuous improvement opportunities as required.
- Maintain compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
Follows all safety, housekeeping (5S) and company policies and procedures.
Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Schematic capture and PCB layout experience required. Experience testing and validating PCBAs. General knowledge of power, digital, and analog circuits. Proficiency with EE tools such as oscilloscopes and power supplies. Low level embedded code development experience is a plus. Experience with Altium is a plus. Experience with TeamCenter is a plus. 5+ years' experience required.
