Product Engineer

SUMMARY: The Product Engineer is primarily responsible for providing CAD support for all new designs as well as engineering changes. Reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Maintain and control all design records such as OEM drawings, Supplier drawings, internal drawings and Packaging drawings.
- Provide CAD support for all new designs as well as engineering changes. Gatekeeper of all engineering changes.
- Provide CAD support for all quote activities
- Support any other CAD request (i.e. Plant layouts, data conversions, etc)
- Aide in the development of DVP's
- Attend meetings as required
- Co-ordinate and track testing
- Solicit quotations from suppliers
- Troubleshooting of engineering related issues
- Work with JVIS's ECR system (We will Train)
- Assit in the approval of all 18 elements to achieve PPAP
- Engage in continuous improvement opportunities as required.
- Maintain compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
Follows all safety, housekeeping (5S) and company policies and procedures.
Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of an Associate's in Industrial Design. Minimum of 5 years experience in injection molded plastic part design, assemblies and packaging within an environment. Must have an understanding of sheet metal design. Experience in lighting, mechanisms and HVAC is a plus. Knowledge of a Teamcenter is preferred. Knowledge of Catia V5 or UG/NX 11 required. UG/NX 9 is acceptable.
